- I have been foolish, as I was independent and depended on doing things myself.
- You see, Poseidon?! I have defeated Troy, me, the son of Laertes! I have no need of help from the Gods!
- I am King Alcinous, what brings you on my Island?
- ...and then came one of the sons of Poseidon, Polyphemus. The cannibal ate and killed my men. Though I have escaped, my pride had gotten in my way again.
- It was the Lotus flowers, they've wanted me to forget the way to my home....
- The storm pulled us far from Ithaca, and into Aeaea, Circe's island. She told that if I wamted to go back home, must hear the prophecy from Teresias, Prince of Thebes.
- After the escape from Polyphemus, I have stumbled across Aeolus, God of wind. He sent my ship towards Ithaca, but gave a bag that was never to be opened, yet my men were so foolish and opened up the bag, hoping to find riches, but were instead greeted with a storm full of wrath.
- As I arrived to Hades, I have seen the spirits of young men and women, the spirits of warriors, and those who opposed the Gods. My mother, Anticlea was the first I've seen. She grieved until she couldn't take it anymore. The second one I met was one of my men, whom I must not leave unwept. Teresias was the last I met, the prophecy said I must hold my men and I back to make it home.
- Cover your mens ears, sirens will sing and lure. Beware of Scylla and Charybdis. Scylla will crave your men and eat them.
- Thrinacia, Island of Helios' cattle, I told my men to go past, but they have stopped and have eaten his cattle. Zeus gave punishment and left me without men nor a ship. I was stuck on Ogygia, Calypso's island for 7 years.
- Six of my men lost the battle between Scylla, I only gave them warnings of the Sirens, but not of Charybdis and Scylla.
