Climate change is getting worse and worse every year, and it’s up to us to stop it.
One way to stop it is to use less gas. Walking to nearby places, rather than driving, and even driving electric cars can lessen the amount of gasoline used.
We can also use more solar, wind, and other renewable energy sources.
Using less electricity in your home is another small way to limit the damage. Turn off the lights when leaving the house or when you’re not using a certain room.
Remember the “reduce, reuse, recycle” rule? The more we recycle, the less energy we have to use to make goods!
Take shorter showers and turn off the sink while brushing your teeth to reduce water waste, as it takes energy to pump and treat your water.
Some ways we use energy may seem necessary, but the amount that we use can be reduced. Sealing and weatherizing your home from cold weather, instead of using a bunch of electricity heating your home, can be a big help.
This is how forest fires and major droughts start around the whole world!
But, why do all this? To help the earth. We’re seeing more heatwaves, and damages to the environment can kill animals.
We have to stop climate change, and it takes all of us!
Poverty, increased risk of illness, a rising ocean, and severe storms are more reasons to try to stop global warming.
