- British Side
- We can't have the East India Company go bankrupt. That's why I have created a new act to tax the colonists once again.
- British side
- We've reduced the price of our tea so I suggest you stop smuggling Dutch tea because we are going to have customs officers.
- British Side
- Lieutenant, what should we do, the colonists are refusing to take our imports now and are sending our tea back.
- Order our men to take the ships cargo themselves and store it in hangers until further notice.
- The British Parliament passes the Tea Act. A bill designed to save the East India Company from bankruptcy by greatly lowering the tea tax it paid to the British government.
- British Side
- We will shut down Boston Harbor until all of the 340 chests of British East India Company tea are paid for!
- The British take action after this act by selling it cheaper. so it could sell its tea more and reorganize the distribution situation.
- British Side
- This is when the British are getting frustrated that the colonists are now boycotting their goods and refusing to even accept the imports nor use them.
- British Side
- This is a soldier telling his Lieutenant about the new news in Boston Harbor. This is when the British pretty much shut down Boston Harbor until things were settled and they got what they wnated.
- Sir, this is urgent. The colonists have dumped around 34o chests into Boston Harbor in protest to our new act. What should we do?
