- Gregor wakes up to find that he is a large hard shelled brown bug with long wriggling legs that he can't seem to control. knowing hes late for work he still decides to sleep longer hoping to sleep this off.
- After Gregor finds himself struggling to unlock the door he eventually manages to unlock the door with his sticky mouth by biting down on it and turning the key, when gregor finally walks out of his room everyone is astonished at the view of gregor. Mr. Manager is speachless but screams and begins to head for the door. In fear of his job gregor begins to chase him in order to explain but the manager continues to run almost falling down the stairs.

- In order to protect himself and his family after scaring Mr. Manager, his mother and his father, gregors father picks up Mr. Managers cane and begins to wack gregor, not knowing that the large bug is his son. in order to protect himself from a fatal blow he scuries and turns to avoid any weak spots. As his father is wacking hijm with the cane he tries to help lead gregor back into his room by leading him with the cane and the news paper.
