- Nana Elang knelt down on his two sons and dusted their clothes and cried silently. When the mother of the four puppies came back, he licked the remaining four puppies and did not look for his black spotted puppy. Baldo andAmbo searched for the black puppy that was thrown on the tall corn by their father. When they found out where the black puppy was, they buried it in one corner with a sharp-pointed stake. After burying the puppy, they hurriedly went back to their home.
- The theme of the story of Morning in Nagrebcan is about the love of Baldo and Ambo toward their pets, the black puppy is the one who is different among his other four siblings. That is why the blackspotted puppy became the favorite one of Baldo. With the love of Baldo and Ambo had on the puppies, conversely, they did not find it in their father. They lacked the guidance and support of their father who was drunk all the time and beat their mother every night. A father’s love was not seen in the story, that is why Baldo and Ambo gave their love and sympathy towards the puppies.
