Storyboard Text

  • How stubborn you are Mercutio! Let's enter inside, for there's a huge chance we run into the hot-tempered Capulets as the sun remains.
  • Benvolio
  • Is that so?
  • Benvolio urges Mercutio to enter inside to avoid the chance of running into the Capulets
  • Mercutio
  • Haha, how childish you are. You get angry and anxious at every little thing.
  • Needless to say, you are such a hypocrite. You're the one who always eagerly declares fights;
  • I could not care less.
  • Mercutio is reluctant to head inside, mindless of the conflict which might occur.
  • What a joke. Is it not of yourself that you are describing? Goodness me, look behind you, it appears as if our argument has led us to the very path of these Capulet's.
  • Tybalt
  • Good evening gentlemen! May I have a word with one of you?
  • Tybalt asks for a word, but is challenged to a duel by Mercutio.
  • A word with just the one of us? Couple it with with a word and a fight, then I ought to be interested.
  • Give me a fair reason of doing so.
  • Subjectively, you are indeed quite close to Romeo. Oh, pardon me. Romeo has finally arrived.
  • Tybalt does not initially find a reason of fighting, however thinks Mercutio as a close friend to Romeo
  • Why don't you make a reason of your own?
  • I cannot put this in any other way. You Romeo, art thou a villain. Why don't we settle this with a joust.
  • Through Tybalt's anger towards Romeo, he wishes to joust. Romeo refuses.
  • Tybalt, I fear I cannot. I love you as I do myself. I will not allow my sword to touch your flesh
  • Romeo
  • Let's settle this shall we?
  • Mercutio wishes to take the place of Romeo, challenging Tybalt to a duel.
  • Romeo, how could you make such a vile and dishonorable submission? Tybalt, you ratcatcher, shall I take one of those eight hearts of yours?
