Storyboard Text

  • Both of you, beat down your weapons! The prince harshly forbids violence in the streets of Verona. Tybalt, Mercutio, hold!
  • Romeo attempts to stop the clash from further escalating.
  • Tybalt's hatred of Romeo is reflected through the death of Mercutio who took his place
  • I've been hit, I've been hit! A scratch enough to end me.
  • Are you hurt my Mercutio?
  • Now Tybalt, call me a villain again. Either you or I will end up meeting Mercutio up in heaven after this duel.
  • Romeo in sheer anger and despair of Mercutio calls upon Tybalt to duel him.
  • Oh Romeo, our brave Mercutio is dead!
  • As you came here with Mercutio. You will die with Mercutio.
  • Now Tybalt, call me a villain again. Either you or I will end up meeting Mercutio up in heaven after this duel.
  • This shall determine that!
  • Mindless of the consequences, violence and death erupts as a result to Romeo's anger
  • Romeo, flee this instance! Civilians are beginning to assess the conflict. The Prince will surely punish you!
  • Oh Romeo, our brave Mercutio is dead!
  • This brawl unluckily drew the deaths of both Tybalt and Mercutio. Tybalt was slain by Romeo in defense of Mercutio whose life was first taken by Tybalt.
  • Both the Montague and Capulet families arrive with the Prince in great shock of the violence.

  • Romeo initially refused to fight Tybalt, resulting in a joust between Mercutio and Tybalt. Whilst Romeo attempted to stop the conflict, Mercutio was stabbed and Tybalt attempted to flee. Romeo through his despair of Mercutio and hatred of Tybalt proceeded to duel Tybalt, leading to his death. Romeo proceeded to flee from the scene.
  • After hearing Benvolio's side of the story, the Prince punishes Romeo for his actions.
  • Romeo is to be exiled from the city of Verona as a result to this conflict resulting in the deaths of both Tybalt and Mercutio. If Romeo is found within the walls of this city, he shall be killed.
