- I made this PSA talk about digital awareness for parents. The internet can be a dangerous place without the proper precautions. Cyberbullying takes place on nearly every social media platform. It's important to monitor your child's social media usage in order to protect them. Parents must also educate their children on online safety because the effects of cyberbullying can be harmful. These effects can include depression, isolation, substance abuse, and anxiety. Stop Bullying recommends that parents establish rules about appropriate digital behavior, content, and apps.
