- After the death of both his father, Henry VII and his brother, heir- apparent Prince Edward of Wales, King Henry VIII inherited the throne.
- King Henry VIII believed that he was chosen by God to rule England so if you challenged him, you challenged God.
- Henry VIII realized that the crown was the strongest when they used the Parliamentary system . He used many of his close allies to run the country. If the fell out of favor or he was afraid they would overthrow him, he would behead them. They would gather taxes that Henry VIII imposed.
- Inorder to divorce his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, he changed the countries region to Protestant from Roman Catholic. He would then change funds and power from the Pope to himself. This helped him gain the title as one of the wealthiest Kings in history.
- Henry VII showed wealth by surrounding himself with gold and silver. It has been said that he was the best dressed, because he had the riches robes. He would often buy riches for his lords to make sure he held their loyalty. One of his most used palaces Hampton Court to show pleasure.
