- Man, I have this boring school assignment on digital citizenship.
- Well, digital citizenship is actually important.
- Oh, really? Well, since you seem to know so much, can you tell me a bit about it?

- well, the first thing you need to know is that there are 9 different rules.
- Ugh, 9? Why so many?
- Because there are 9 important things to know. For example, it's important to know not everyone has access to the internet.
- It's important to know this, particularly for educators in case a student may not be able to complete an assignment from home.
- Yeah, I guess that makes sense. What else should I know?

- Another important one is the rights and responsibilities. Unfortunately, there is, and always will be criminals. That's why in case you ever see a crime, you should report it.
- But why would anyone steal anything digitally?
- Because some people don't want to pay for their things. Which is why it's important to remember the rule about security. It's understanding the risk of your informatoin being stolen and doing things to prevent it, like staying off sketchy sites.
