- In 1945 the soviets were heading towards the capitol building from every direction. Since Hitler knew things were going to get bad, he committed suicide. When he did this he left the Nazis to Karl Donitz. This ultimately leads them to their surrender.
- The United states and soviet union were both friend and foe. They did not like each other. Even though they didn't like each other, a necessary alliance was formed. The alliance they formed was necessary to defeat Germany.
- The Manhattan project was research that helped to develop the nuclear weapons. This research and development was during world war two. The Manhattan was ran by the united states but also had other countries supporting it. Countries like the UK and Canada.

- There were two bombs beimg planed to be dropped at two different places in Japan. The first out of the two bombs was planned to be dropped in Hiroshima and was called little boy. When it was dropped, it immediately killed around 80,000. After the event of the bombing, tens of thousands more people died from the radiation of the bomb that was dropped.
- This bomb was called fat man. It was dropped on Nagasaki. This bomb was dropped to prove the strength and power of the bombs. Just like the first bomb, this one a huge amount of people.
- Japan surrendered in world war two because of what they said was the nuclear weapons. however, this is not true. Japan really surrendered because the soviet union joined the war. Japan believed that it was better to say that they surrendered because of the nuclear weapons and not because they were losing to the soviet union.
