- Mary Stuart often had a verylonesome and troubled life... living through three marriages, and her second husband being murdered .

- In 1567 she was forced to give up her throne in Scotland after a 25 year rule due to numerous scandals and her second husbands death

- Fleaing Scotland...
- She then decided to flea to England and ask her dear cousin Elizabeth for help and protection...

- Elizabeth felt pity for Mary as she was family, however she also saw her as a threat to her reign.
- Elizabeth I ask thee for protection, I have not come to seek rivalry, I just need help.
- You're Family, but you are too big of a threat to me and my monarchy... i'm throwing you in prison

- Mary was then imprisoned for 19 years. As her sentence went on she became more free within the castle but was never allowed to leave because Elizabeth kept her as she posed as a threat.

- As her sentence went on she found many things to do around the castle and with her time she began write letters, however this sparked many ideas, some which were negative...

- Babington Plot...
- If Elizabeth dies, I am free and I can take the throne? I approve.
- The Babington plot was a plan to kill Queen Elizabeth and make Mary Stuart Queen (again) of England . It was created by Anthony Babington and his group as they wanted to free Mary and make her Queen.

- Elizabeth's spymaker Sir Francis Walsingham eveuntally caught the men and Mary before they went through with their plan and Anthony Babington and his men were arrested and tortured, then eventually were executed by a public hanging.

- I hearby announce Mary Stuart guilty of treason, her sentence will be that of decapitation.
- Mary then was forced to go on trial for treason. She was eventually found guilty and her penalty was execution by decapitation.
