  • Interphase
  • MitosisProphase
  • MitosisMetaphase
  • There are 3 stages of Interphase;G1: Here the cell grows physically S phase: In S phase, the cell copies its DNA to produce two sister chromatids and replicates its nucleosomes.G2: Finally, In this phase the cells grows further and prepares it for mitosis
  • MitosisAnaphase
  • In this phase the parents cells which were duplicated during the S-phase become a thousand time more compact than they were during the first phase or the interphase.
  • MitosisTelophase
  • During metaphase, the nucleus dissolves and the cell's chromosomes condense and move together, aligning in the center of the dividing cell.
  • Cytokinesis
  • In anaphase, the sister chromatids separate from each other and are pulled towards opposite ends of the cell.
  • During telophase, the chromosomes arrive at the cell poles, the mitotic spindle disassembles, and the vesicles that contain fragments of the original nuclear membrane assemble around the two sets of chromosomes.
  • Cytokinesis is the process that finally splits the parent cell into two identical daughter cells.
