(1809-1848)Prince Klemens von Metternich was determined(along with other agrees) to protect conservatism. This means he had to stamp out the influence that nationalism was beginning to have on Austrian empire. Loyal soldiers were deployed to control Italian states as well as spies being sent out to report at institutions and urban centers. Lastly, the mail was intercepted. This was a hinderance to the change needed and formed the Holy Alliance of Prussia, Russia, and Austria.

Metternich System
Confederation(Bund) of 34 states that would be under the control of Austria(including Metternich). This bund was in hind sight for the benefit of maintaining Austria's powers over the German states. However, with Prussia(Wilhelm)t being the largest German state, there began to be tension between both Prussia and Austria. The assemblies(diets) discussed the political matters. This occurred in 1815 for the purpose of replacing the Holy Roman Empire partly.

The Form. of German Confederation
I know this is good for Austria but who is this Prussia guy and why are they kinda successful right now???
A collection of German states(formed in 1834) led by Prussia. Its purpose was to boost the German economy with the collaboration of 25 states(excluding Austria). Essentially this was a customs union(agreement to abolish tariffs and use common set of tariffs on imports from other countries). This collaboration meant a boost in population and a free trade zone.
So glad this will at least give me economic expansion as well as the other states. Go Germany!
