How Horney Sees Me
How Rogers Sees Me
I am the middle child, and Adler states that birth order can affect personality, for example causing the middle or second child to look up to the first, and see them as a role model.
How Costa & McCrae See Me
Horney's theories were based off of a common desire for love. If you aren't getting enough love and connection from other people, you can feel sad and unsatisfied, hindering development and causing you to withdraw, lash out, or misrepresent yourself.
How Eysenck Sees Me
Carl Rogers believed in and studied Humanism, focused on how one's conscious, self-motivated ability to improve makes up the core of their personality. He said that environments supporting genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard for others was important. How your parents treat you is a huge part of this environment during crucial developmental years.
How Bandura Sees Me
Costa and McCrae developed the Five Factor personality test. One of the factors is openness, the level of how open-minded a person is, making them imaginative, curious, and willing to try new things.
Eysenck developed a personality theory with three general traits. One of them being an extraversion/introversion spectrum. Introverts, of which I am one, recharge their energy spending time alone more so than extraverts, who recharge more around other people.
Narcissism is a need for admiration, combined with selfishness and a lack of empathy. Narcissists crave attention and validation without seeking it in healthy, empathetic ways.
