  • Life Under the Tsars
  • Don't get to excited... there's barley gonna be any change.

  • Russians in WWI
  • Due to the fallout of Russia the Tsar were still in control, people were left in fear and suffering. There have been setbacks with Russia socially, economically, and economically. In result, Russia was still feudal autocracy.
  • The March Revolution
  • During peaceful protesting, the Tsar soldiers shot at the group. This took place outside of the castle in 1905. What's now known as the Blood Sunday gave a push in support for the revolution.
  • Lenin The Bolsheviks
  • Under the power of incompetent Tsar Nicholas Romanov II, the the Russian Army was poorly equipped and lost nearly 5.5 million men. At home, inflation and food storages led to protests and riots.
  • October Revolution
  • Protests that started for bread and peace soon became a widespread revolt. In the capitol (Petrograd) revolt was led by workers, peasants, and soldiers. In 1917 Tsar Nicholas II was forced abdicate in 1917.
  • Lenin had different Communist views which led to him being exiled from Russia and sent to prison camps. Germany sent Lenin to Russia in hopes of him knocking Russia out of WWI. He then led the Bolshevik Party.
  • The government was held hostage by the Bolsheviks when they seized control over government buildings. The Provisional Government in result gave up power to the Bolsheviks a month after (November 1917). In 1918 the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk was signed which pulled Russia out of WWI.
