Hi, my name is Logan. My story all started one day when I suited up for what might possibly have been my forseeable last hockey game. It was a rather sunny and beautiful day for being mid october. To set the stage, we were playing Edina (our biggest rival), and the stakes were extremely high.
We're finally gonna beat Edina! Our team is so good this year!
Whack!
Get wrecked bud!
At some point towards the beginning of the game, I got hit very hard and immediately felt pain raging through my body. I immediately went to thelocker room questioning if I could continue to playing or not.
Ouch!
I think something is seriously wrong...
On our way to the hospital, I was in agonizing pain. What was only a 15-20 minute drive felt like a lifetime. My back was cramping up, and I had shooting pain down both my legs which is seemingly never a good thing.
Only a few more minutes...
Are we there yet?
Is this really happening?
You have severely fractured back. You may never be able to workout, or play contact sports ever again.
...
Over the next few months, I fell into a seemingly depressed state of mind. I was basically immobilized and lost all hope when it comes to my future in athletics. With that being said, I gained 40-50 lbs and was very unhappy.
