  • The Parable of the Rich FoolLuke 12:13-34By Rocco Pericolosi
  • Don't be greedy! Owning a lot of things won't make you happy.
  • Teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me
  • There was a rich man whose farm had a large harvest and he wanted make a larger barn to store his grain.
  • I shall tear down my barn and make myself a larger one to store all my grain! For many years I can rest, eat, drink, and be merry!
  • Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?
  • My disciples, do not worry about what you will and eat and what you will wear, life is more than food and clothing. Notice the ravens: they do not sow or reap; they have neither storehouse nor barn, yet God feeds them. How much more important are you than birds! So do not seek what what you will eat and drink, do not worry. Everyone in the world seeks these things and God knows you need them. Instead seek his kingdom
  • Sell your belongings and give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy. Where your treasure is, is where your heart will be.
