  • Linda Brown, a young African-American student in Topeka, Kansas walks through railroads to get to her bus stop to the all-black Monroe School. Despite living closer to the Sumner School, which she was denied admission by the Board of Education because of her race.
  • It's no fair I didn't get accepted.
  • Oliver Brown and Linda went to ask Thrugood Marshall to represent them for the case against Brown v. Board of Education. They lost the case in federal court becasue they decided there was no violation of Linda Browns rights. While upholding the "seperate but equal" doctorine estalished in Plessy v. Ferguson.
