- We still need to complete our unfinished work! We will not stop until slavery is outlawed. Next time hundreds of slaves and abolitionists will be by our side! Even though I am injured we can do it!
- Brown was miraculously still alive and had enough time when the soldiers turned their backs to escape to a nearby building.
- John you need to rest! We barely escaped! Hurry! To that building!
- NO! We will fight again in two weeks!
- JOHN! We cannot do it. Your to weak and the South will not only attack us but it may start war! It is to unsafe for everyone.
- John Brown knew he was losing faith in his followers. He felt he had to act fast as to show the strength of the abolitionists!
- John Brown left the town in secret and started his new plan.
- I will find my true followers and we are attacking another town very soon. I am doing God's work, and I will continue until I die.
- John Brown angerly left the building. If none of his men would stand behind him he would fight alone. He knew the Southerners might even try to start war with the North due to their anger. The North would hate him and both sides of the country might try to kill him. That didn't matter to him though.
