Storyboard Text
- Samuel was an orphan in England and then he became page of captain Smith to the New World in Virginia. They lasted about four months at sea to get the right wind.
- There is another boy named Richard that is also an orphan. Once in the tween deck Richard teased Samuel and they got in a fight. They are both pages and they only go on the top deck to dump the slop buckets.
- Once they got to Virginia about a week there they were running out of food so then Indians came to trade then. But while they came the Indians would look all around their fort.
- Then one day the Indians got ready and sneaked into their fort and then attacked them. Then a younger boy named James tried to run to the ship but on his way there he got an arrow in his back and died.
- Then when they were running out of food Captain Newport left back to England on the Susan Constant to get more food and supplies. But while he is gone Captain Smith makes peace with the indians and trades with them for food.
- Then Captain Smith and Chief Powhatan make peace and they live well in James Town. But then Captain Smith got hurt and returned to England. Then some settlers move to Point Comfort and now Samuel is not a page he is a free man and lives the Laydon family. And John had a baby Virginia and lived well from there on.
