Esperanza arrived at the camp but she doesn't like it and the people who are there. They also met Isabel and the other people from the Isabel family.
A dust storm hit the area and since mama was working out side she got some of the dust in her lungs and then she got terribly sick.
Since mama was sick Esperanza decided to start working in a factory trying to earn money for her mama and to take care of her. Esperanza started working more and more and was no longer the spoiled rich girl she was. Esperanza turned to a hard working, dedicated woman. With all the money she is making she has enough for mama, she plans on bringing abuelita back. Soon mama gets better.
Abuelita came back and the family was happy again.
