- On Henry’s first battle, he is very nervous and scared but he doesn’t run away and he faces his fears.

- When Henry fled the battle field, he found himself lost in the woods and found a dead soldier that scared soo much that he continued running.
- Battle #5
- Henry’s third battle was very stressful. He tried to find his regiment but he had no luck. Henry also got hit on the head by the butt of a musket rifle. After he was taken care of by the regiment when he found them, he was filled with rage when the foes showed up again.
- The important theme(s)
- During this battle, Henry walks along with the regiment to fight, when the flag bearer died, Henry took the position and led the team with courage.
- Henry's regiment wins the battle and Henry becomes a hero. Filled with relief and leadership.
- The main themes for this book was coming of age and courage. After Henry fled the scene, later on he thought to himself that fleeing the scene was bad and he should have fought back, and he did with courage.
