- Pre-Revolution
- The Romanovs
- Revolution of 1905
- February Revolution
- Russia was ruled by a monarchy, and the family in rule by this time was the Romanovs. 18 Romanovs had the throne, arguably the most famous being Catherine the Great. Czar Nicholas II was poorly ruling the country with his wife Alexandria and his 4 daughters and son. The Czar & Czarina did not care for their people, they ignored their protects and cry's for help. The people were in poverty and hungry.
- October Revolution
- This event is called 'Bloody Sunday.' Soldiers were shooting and killed massive amounts of protesters. This took place in St. Petersburg, on International Woman's Day. Instead of listening to their pleas, the Czar strengthened his control over the people.
- Civil War
- Woman were fighting for equality on International Woman's Day because of their low wages, unsafe working conditions, and they were starving. This pressure made the the Czar Nicholas II, abdicate from the throne. The provisional government took over Duma.
- War, Communism, and the Red Terror
- Vladimir Lenin returned to Russia. He lead the group the Bolsheviks, and they gained much support. Lenin then gained control of Russia. This turned Russia from a country with a monarchy, to a communist government.
- The Civil War was between the Red Army and the White Army. The White Army was fighting for democracy. While the Red Army was fight to keep Communism. The Red Army won.
- The outcome of the Russian Revolution was with the Romanovs being executed, Russia becoming a communist government, and they killed any political enemies.
