- In the following day, Thandi who has not recieved a helmet since she started working at GB Plarics has enquired with the shopsteward that she needs the safety gear but Sandile who is their shopsteward has been telling her that he is working on it.
- Good morning Sir.I don't know if you remember that I came to you asking about safety gears which we haven't gotten since our last conversation regarding that.
- Good morning Thandi. I do remember yes and I have been to management to remind them but there hasn't been good feed back from them so I am waiting on management.
- Thandi reminds Sandile once again what her rights as a worker and the rest of her fellow workers are. which are ;According to S(14) of the Act, the overall duty of the employer is ‘to provide and maintain, as far as is reasonably practicable, a working environment that is safe and without risk to the health and safety of employees’ Sandile nods but looking a bit concerned and lets Thandi go.

- The employees go through a list of what has been done wrong at GB Plastics and say that they have overlooked all of that for instance; They have not had access to safety gears which means The occupational health and safety act and regulations has been ignored by management.Health and safety rules and procedures of the workplace have equally been ignored.
