Hello Class. Today we will learn about the Do’s and Dont's of Instant Messages and Text Messages in the workplace. We will start off with the dont's.

1. You should treat instant messages as professional communication, just as you would email or have verbal conversations.
2. You should use these messages to get to the point and make sure the reader will actually read it.
3. Avoid using work chat for personal matters or excessive casual chatting making sure it is professional.
