  • The group went to the Pisa tower and after walking a really long time Josh ask miss Elle how far are they from the tower. Miss Elle replied that the tower is 57 meters high with a given angle of 30 degrees. So Josh solve the distance by dividing the height 57 meters with the angle which is tan 30 degrees to have 98.73 as the distance.

  • Schuyler wants to know and measure the height of a Ferris Wheel. He walks exactly 100 feet from the base of the Ferris Wheel and looks up. The angle from the ground to the top of the Ferris Wheel is 62°.To calculate the height Schuyler use tan(62°) x 100 feet=188.07 feet tall.
  • They went to to the statue of Liberty and Anna wants to calculate its height .So miss Elle told her that they are about 70 feet from the base of the statue with a degree of 50°.So Anna calculates by using Sin(50)x70=53.62 feet
