- Hey Rohan, i heard that the nearby neighbourhood is getting destroyed next week!
- Yeah even i heard it but it is necessary to do the whole process which is the invasion-succession process. The area is fully grown up but it has to decline sometime. Lets have a coffee inside my verandah and have a chat about this.
- Its so shocking that the whole process would be a ripple effect for the whole area
- Intervention of designing programs will be attempted for massive urban renewal
- But it is for the redevelopment process and necessary for the developement of the city too. The stages of this process are growth, expansion, decline and rebirth
- Sonali you know that there are specific functions of neighbourhood which are relating to public issues and policy cocerns....

- But Rohan I have a question that these fucntions..., what degree they actually perform or what programs might be developed to the restablishment?
- FUNCTIONS Economic function- focuses on unit of production consumption. With increasing inflation, and the general deterioration of the economic climate, the traditional demand for new housing has turned inward toward maintenance of existing urban neighborhoods and revitalization of older ones.Administered function- focuses on unit of provision distribution of public services. Agency specialization and proliferation of districts tend to crosscut the neighborhood as a single collective unit capable of dealing with a diverse set of interrelated issues.Socialization function- focused on variations in sociability. This variation appears to be related to the life style or family composition of the neighborhood, and also to the degree of vertical linkage to the centers of power, privilege, and wealth. It is this link which allows some populations to opt in or out of the neighborhood by choice, while constraining others to the more limited interactional domain of the local neighborhood.
- I hope government keep in mind the people's sentiments towards that neighbourhood and their neighbours who are mentally connected with each other. And also i am glad that i gotta learn so much from you.
