Where are they going?

While talking with Kennedy, Jude give the audience insight to where she has been living. We find out about an accomplishment Jude has been working on for years, "Where do you live then?" she said. "Minneapolis." "What the hell are you doing out there?" "I'm in medical school" (Bennett 281). Jude has went to pursue her dreams of becoming a doctor. She is off to pursue great things.

What is the character like?

When JUde is compared to Kennedy she is a lot more quiet and shy. Kennedy knows Jude's character and she uses that leverage to try to make her uncomfortable," She's only chosen that bar because she knew it would make Jude uncomfortable. And sure enough, as soon as they walked in, Jude glanced around the dim bar, overwhelmed by the punk music screaming out of the speaker"(Bennett 286). Ever since she was young, Jude wasn't really concerned with partying. Jude's character is more cool, calm, and collected.

What effect do they have on others?

Despite their many differences, Kennedy and Jude have a relationship they can't explain. Ever since Jude entered her life, Kennedy does things she hasn't done for anybody else, "Jude stood, tossing her coffee in the trash can. Kennedy scrambled after, suddenly afraid the she would leave her here" (Bennett 294). Kennedy has never been desperate for another person's attention or reassurance. With Jude she changes.
