  • Emails are something you will use as you get older, so I'm here to help you know what to do!
  • 5 Do's when writing emails:1. Include a heading in the subject line. Its essential if you want someone to read your email2. Personalize your email to the recipient, EX:"Dear Ms Rachel"3. Watch your tone. Email doesn't have body language so make sure you write your words carefully4. Make sure your email address represents you. Inappropriate email addresses can be embarrassing to employers or teachers5. Include your name or signature with contact information. The recipient may want to contact you in other ways
  • 5 Don'ts when writing emails:1. Don't forget to check for spelling and grammar. It represents you and poor spelling can indicate a poor caliber of work.2. Don't make the email long. The email should be brief and straight to the point3. Don't forward emails with permission. You don't want to send information meant for you to others without permission4. Don't "reply to all" unless your response is appropriate for group viewing5. Don't think that anyone but you will see the email. After it leaves your mailbox, you don't know where it'll go. Don't send anything you don't want people to see
