- The Daughters of Liberty
- All of you need to stand up for what needs to be changed in this country. Stand up for liberty!!!
- I need all of you men to dress up and disguse as Mohawks

- I wish our homes weren't being taken over.
- This is so unfair and rude!
- During the early 1700's tensions were always rising between the British soldiers and the American colonists. For Jane living in these times was always hard as an American and as a woman. She always wished to have independence as she had gotten older.
- Tensions Rose
- I will not let these laws be enforced.
- In 1776, Sarah Fulton had created an organization called the Daughters of Liberty.Sarah Fulton made men dress up as Mohawaks to disguse themselves. In this organization Jane was helping out organizing boycotts and helping manufacture goods that were short supplied. Jane knew that being a woman during this time was hard for her. She was made to engage in any protests that were neccasary as well as encourage everyone to stand up for liberty.
- The Beginning of the Violence
- We NEED to fight for ourselves!!!!
- When the British Soldiers arrived during the harsh winters to the American Colonists homes to stay, no one was happy. The anger that was created in Jane was unbeleiveable. She thought it was unfair that these men were able to take over all of these American homes, and many agreed with her. Jane talked to many other colonists who said that the British soldiers were being very rude to the colonists.
- The Aftermath
- Being part of the Daughters of Liberty, Jane knew that she would stand up for what was right. Tensions between the colonists and British soldiers started to rise due to the tax laws that these British soldiers were trying to enforce Jane and the other American colonists.
- All of you will be taxed
- Due to the enforcement, these British soldiers were trying to force on these colonists, violence started to erupt. Several days after the laws were enforced, a fight broke out between British Soldiers and a local American worker. This is what started it all and made it worse for Jane and the American colonists. They needed to fight for their independence. This had broken out into the American Revolutionary War.
- Over the course of five years, the colonists had continued their rebellion. They had formed the First Continental Congress and staged the Boston Tea Party. Jane and the American Colonists defended their militia at Concord agaisnt the redcoats, which initaially is what launched the American Revolution.
- We will continue this rebellion.
