- Grenouille was making and finalizing his perfume
- The candles for God's sake, the candles! There's going to be an explosion, he'll burn my house down
- Slide: 2
- Grenouille spun the bottle in the air several times causing Baldini to let out rage and horror.
- "Stop it!.. That's enough! Stop it this moment! Basta! Put that bottle back on the table and don't touch anything else, do you understand, nothing else! I must have been crazy to listen to your asinine gibberish..The way you handle these thing, your crudity, your primitive lack of judgement,
- demonstrate to me that you are bungler, a barbaric bungler, and a beastly,cheeky,snot-nosed brat besides. You wouldn't make a good lemonade mixer, not even a good licorice-water vendor,let alone a perfumer! Just be glad, be grateful and content that your master lets you slop around in tannin fluids! Do not dare it ever again, do you hear me? Do not dare ever again to set a foot across the threshold of a perfumer's shop!"

- Baldini was proved wrong, the aromas of the perfume over took him and it was the best smelling perfume he'd ever smelt. He took out his handkerchief placed a few drops onto it and began to continuously sniff in a captivated state.

- "I don't know, I shall think about it. Go."
- "Can't I come to work for you, maitre,can't I?"

- Baldini stood over the perfume and took in the wonderful smell. He began to split the creation up into perfume bottles and labeled them "Nuit Napolitaine"

- He said nothing to his wife as they ate. He mentioned nothing about what happended that afternoon and his wife didn't either because she noticed his good mood so it was enough for her. He was so shook he even forgot to pray that night .
