- The factory workers were being overworked and being treated very poorly.
- You need to get back to work!
- We are too tired.
- We have been working all day.
- I wish we could go play and have fun.
- Children had to work in factories to support their families. They were not allowed to have fun and have a normal childhood.
- Me too, but we have to go to the factory soon.
- Working here is not fair for us. We need to do something about it!
- Workers were tired of not being treated fairly, they needed to do something to fix this.
- We should form a local union. Then we could expand to national unions! that way we could get fair pay, and better working conditions!
- These people decided to start forming unions. These unions helped their voices be heard, and helped them get better working conditions.
- Factory workers were being overworked by their bosses. They would also get treated very poorly by their bosses. Children would also have to work in factories, they could get injured and they always worked way too often. The children had no time to be kids and have fun. Workers decided to form local work unions. With these unions they could all go on strike and demand new working conditions. Some laws/acts were also passed that didn't allow kids to be workers. These local unions turned into national unions and more and more workers were able to have better working conditions.
