  • Around 700 BCE, a Latin tribe began to build a village that eventually becomes Rome. They built the village on Palatina. The Palatina was over the tiger River. The city Then spread over seven hills.
  • Etruscan Influence of sports on the Romans
  • The Myth about Romulus and Remus starts off as when they were born. The men got mad because they knew when the two babies were going to take over the village as they grew older. So the two men but them in cradles along the Tigris river. A lonely wolf was wondering as she saw the two babies. The wolf then takes them and raises them as their own. As Romulus and Remus grew up they helped around with a shepherd. Then their mother got token. So they made a plan to save their mother and it work. In successfulness, they built a large city, but Romulus and Remus were fighters with the names. SO Rumulus Kills Remus and names it Rome then becomes King.
  • Greek Influence of Architecture on the Roman civilization
  • The Romans created an arch called the cuniculus. The Romans used the cuniculus to build an irrigation system to help the land irrigate,drain swamps, and distribute water to their cities. The cuniculus had a keystone that would hold both sides of the cuniculus. The cuniculus was a long underground trench that was connected by vertical shafts into the ground.
  • Greek Influence of writing, art, and religion on the Romans 
  • The Romans sports were played at the coliseum. They would to Charoit races, execution, and have a man-to-man fight for entertainment. Even one time they filled the Coliseum with water and had ships fight till there was one. They would keep prisoners in cages and have them fight lions and other animals. 
  • The Romans' architecture was such as greeks. The Romans would make their building with columns. They made a dome kind of entrance which was called a cuniculus they used these types of building to build the coliseum. 
  • The roman took the alphabet from the greeks and the Etruscans. The roman alphabet was all capitipallized. They would carve laws into bronze or stone. The Roman used a type of art called Greco- Roman art. They would do pottery and the same technics as the greeks. The Romans took off of the greeks and Etructians religions and practices. The Romans would have some of the same gods and goddesses but they named them differently.
