Storyboard Text

  • Canada
  • First Nations/Inuit/ Metis would travel on horses or ships to arrive at the destination they wanted. To tell the other country about their arrival, they would write and send letters to each other.
  • Once everyone arrives, they show what they brought and start trading. Some of the items might be fur, money, fish, cotton, jewelry, and more. This could be useful in many ways since not one country has everything, so we all have to depend on each other for the things we don't have.
  • Both countries would share their ideas and stories, and even shared their own type of food and music and holidays, and more. A lot of times, people would teach each other languages.
  • We eat...
  • They would also talk about both countries' laws and help each other decide on important decisions. The countries' would help problems and support one and another.
  • Once they've all shared their ideas, helped each other, traded their own countries' items, etc, the countries would separate and leave. This whole get-together still impacts our lives as Canadians. We still don't have everything and we never will. But every country still relies on each other.
