- On August 24, 1814, British forces marched into Washington D.C and set to fire many important buildings such as the White House and the Capitol. Many government officials and the President had to evacuate the city. Only a twist from mother-nature could stop the British...

- Batle of Ft. McHenry- On Sept. 13 1814 the U.S Ft McHenry guarded the Baltimore harbor and was bombarded for 27 hours straight. The attack failed, and on the morning of Sept. 14th, the U.S. flag still flew about Ft. McHenry. This inspired Francis Scot Key to write the Star Spangled Banner.
- Rocket's red glare, and bombs bursting in air... But our flag is STILL THERE!!!
- In January 1815, the British army invaded the city of New Orleans. Andrew Jackson assembled a last-minute militia that included everyone and anyone who could fight. Native Americans, pirates, freed African Americans, and ordinary citizens all worked together to defend the city. Jackson wins the battle and becomes a war hero.
- WE WILL FIGHT THE BRITISH TOGETHER!!!
