- I'm Coronado. In 1540 I went searching for the city of gold, but came up empty handed. All I found was useless landmarks like the Grand Canyon, Palo Duro Canyon, and Pacific Ocean. Because I found no gold, Spain didn't send any expeditions to Texas for many years.

- I'm La Salle. In 1685, I left to colonize the Mississppi River but wound up in Matagorda Bay. I lost many ships on the way here, but I still built this fort, Fort St. Luis. I tried to get along with the Native Americans, but that didn't work, and we are starving from drought. I decided to travel to Mexico to get supplies, but the fort got attacked whilst I was gone, so I decided to retreat to French Canada. At this point my men thought all the terrible events were my fault, so they decided to kill me. Either way, Spain didn't like France "inveding" Texas, so they built missions, military forts, and settlements here.

- I'm Alexander. When Coronado came back to Europe empty-handed in 1540, I decided to look a little deeper in the Grand and Palo Duro Canyons. Eventually, after a little digging, I found an ancient civilization preserved in the rock of the Palo Duro Canyon. Ireland got very rich from the artifacts found inside.
