- Hansika Daggolu started her junior year of high school in the fall. She get to sleep in a little later each morning. But she has a reason to sleep.
- Hansika! Why do you look so powerful?
- Because a California law is taking effect, making school start at a later time.
- The low said we can start at a later time.
- Hansika is very excited this is happening. She doesn't have to get out of bed by 7 a.m. to reach school by 8 a.m anymore.
- I'm really excited and I am so happy this is happening. I can sleep more!
- This fall, high schools in California cannot start school before 8:30 a.m. Middle schools cannot start before 8 a.m. That is because of a law that passed in 2019 and takes effect this year.
