  • LO praise of the prowess of people-kings.
  • So long a while; the lord endowed him.
  • The droghte of March hath perced to the roote.
  • When that Aprill with his shoures soote.
  • All types of of languages have changed over time which some of these include Old English, Middle English, Shakespeare and Slang. The periods that the languages belong to are Old-450-1150 Mid-1150-1500 Shake-1800-1900 and Slang is right now.
  • Old English is still difficult to read today because the language has changed over time using different words from different origins like Latin/Rome, Greek, French, Scandinavia, Italian and Arabic. Because of the words have changed the meaning does change overtime. There is a famous poem in old English called Beowulf.
  • Over time middle English has become more modern over time which means people have said that is is a lot easier to read than it used to be. Middle English is still difficult to read because the language is not fully develop ET and still needs time. One of the most famous author at this time time was Chaucer tales and he wrote the Canterbury tales it was all about people travelling from London to Canterbury.
  • CONCLUSION
  • Shakespear is a famous playwright he has written over 37 plays and has invented 1700 words. Some of the phrases that he made up we still do use today in our languge and the way we talk to people to get our message across. Like Heart of gold, Love is blind or Whats down is down.
  • The word Slang is referred to words, phrases and it is used regarded to as a very informal and language is often restricted to special contexts or are peculiar to a specified profession, class etc. Because people from different areas use different words for different meanings, they would not understand what you are say because they don’t use that time of Slang they use their regional Slang from their area they live in or are used to, basically a different language. Regional Slang means it is from a specific region. The three types of Slang are, New words, Changed spelling and Slang from else where.
