- Because Jack is the leader of the choir and he led them through the jungle until they found the rest of the boys.
- Jack is the leader of the choir. He is described as a boy with red hair and blue eyes.
- Did any of you hear that sound? I think it was an explosion.
- We are lucky to be alive. For now we have to look for the others. I will lead the way.
- Jack and the choir boys found Ralph and Piggy and they started thinking of what to do next.
- All of the boys were involved in a deadly plain crash but all of them survived.

- The plane is going down! We are going to die!

- Jack used the assistance of all of the hunters to find a pig. As a result of this, they let the fire go out and Jack noticed this when he saw the smoke at the top of the mountain.
- It is Jack's desire to have a leadership role and become the chief. He believed that he should have been the chief because he could sing in C sharp.
- We need to decide on a leader? We will have a vote for the boys to decide
- I see a ship! I need to go see if the fire is still burning so that they can notice the smoke.
- I think that I should be the chief because I can sing in C sharp.
- Ralph was upset that the hunters let the fire go out because the ship that passed by could have rescued them had it noticed the smoke. Jack was only worried about killing a pig which is why he let the fire go out.
- The boys voted Ralph to become chief but he made Jack the leader of the hunters. Jack was content with at having some sort of authority.
- I have been voted as chief. Jack will be the leader of the hunters. We will make lots of rules that we must follow.
- You let the fire go out just to kill a pig. Us getting rescued is more important than hunting.
- Yes we will make lots of rules. I will lead the hunters to find a source of meat.
- Im sorry but we needed all of the hunters to trap the pig and kill it. Now we have meat to feed all of us.
- Sam and Eric will soon notice the man with the parachute and
- As the leader of the hunters, Jack will make sure to eliminate any threat on the island.
- It's fine Sam, we saved it.
- We have to look for it. When we find it we will kill it.
- Hey Eric, the fire almost went out.
- We saw the beast!
- Sam and Eric mistake the man with the parachute to be the beast. Horrified, they ran to the boys to warn them the beast is real. Jack made it known that he and the hunters would find it and kill it.
- The beast! We have to go warn the boys that there is a beast on the island.
