- Merlin called all lord and knights to come to London,and prayed in St.Paul Church to besought heaven for a sign who would be a king.a huge square of stone appeared with sword stuck in the middle of it and on the sword was written “Whoso pullet out the sword from this stone is born the rightful King of Britain.”
- RESOLUTION
- A great tournament was held in London and Sir key,Sir Ector son said to arthur to get him his sword and arthur cannot find the sword so he came to churchyard to get the sword that was stuck in the stone
- It turns out that whoever could solve the challenge of pulling the sword from the stone would be the next king of England.at first,Kay tries to take credit for removing the sword when Ector asks him,but then gives in and admits Arthur did it.
- Ector and Kay Kneel before Arthur.Ector said the truth about Arthur past and Arthur said that he will be a king.
