On the nice sunny day in San Francisco I decided to walk over to the Golden Gate Bridge Lookout. My brain sends a signal to my central nervous system that it is time to start walking. This signal is done through my peripheral nervous system and specifically efferent neurons.
Central Nervous Sytem
On my walk I decided to head down to the beach. The sea breeze blew my hair around and this sent a signal via my afferent neurons to tell my body that I was cold.
Peripheral Nervous System
After I got down to the beach I was feeling really tired so I decided to sit down. My central nervous system in this case activated my somatic nervous system to have my legs move to sit down.
Somatic Nervous System
The sun began to set so I decided it was time to head back to my car. On the walk back and I encountered a coyote. In the moment I didn't know what to do but my fight or flight response took over and I ran back to my car.
Sympathetic Nervous System
Once I got back to my car, my heart was still racing so I took a moment and sat in my car before driving away. After waiting for a bit my heart rate went back down
Parasympathetic Nervous System
After sitting in my car for awhile my stomach began to growl. With the walk and running my food must of digested. Leaving the parking lot I headed to go get food.
