During the second Punic war, Hannibal and his warriors crossed the Alps, a frozen mountain, to get to Rome because they want to surprise the Romans and come unexpectedly and the Romans already know their strategy from the last war. When Scipio knew Hannibal crossed the Alps successfully, he went for war and won because of their Numidian calvary. Scipio and Longus join their armies together and their were not on the same page. Hannibal made a trap for the Romans and Longus fell for it. Hannibal won again. The Romans made a new authority called a dictator. Fabius Maximus was the first dictator had a plan to avoid Hannibal's fight and runaway from him. The Romans did not like that idea because they like fighting.
