- The Civil War started in 1642. It was between the Cavaliers and the Roundheads.
- Restoration of the Stuart Monarchy
- Charles was unpopular during his reign beacuse he ignored the Petiton of Right. Charles ignored The Petition of Right as it placed limits on the kings ability to tax,imprison citizens , and quarter troops. He also tried to impose more ritural in the Church of England which cause Puritans to go to America.
- Glorious Revolution
- We will be getting rid of The Divine Right of Theory
- On January 30, 1649 Charles l was exucuted. The New Model Army took no time to take over after coming up victorious in the English Civil War of 1642.
- Engish Bill of Rights
- We have come to and agreement to establish the Bill of Rights
- After Cormwells death in 1658 the army restored the monarchy in 1660 in the word of Charles ll. This was called the restoration of the Stuart monarchy, also known as the Restortaion Period. Parliament kept most of the power it won. Charales continued to push his own ideas. Charles was sympathetic to Catholicism as his brother Jmaes was a Catholic.Charles would go on to die and before he died he converted to Catholism. James became king after.

- The Glorious Revolution laid the foundation for Englands consitutional monarchy. English nobles invited William orange to invade England. Along with that the Divine Right theory was destroyed.
- The Bill of Rights was established and liad for the foundation for a constitituional monarchy. It also help create a government that is based on the rule of law.
