- they're going to have some competition with the store next to them, since they're selling a lot of he same things
- maybe you can sell some things you don't need anymore for more than you payed for them, you could make a profit and that way your mom wont be mad at you because you'll actually have more money than before

- its your private property since you can own and value whatever you want, you can choose what you want to sell no one is forcing you to get rid of anything you don't want to
