Krista is out and about with her kids running errands when lunchtime hits! Everyone is tired and hungry.
The kids are not shy about expressing their needs, and Krista is thinking fast about how to get them fed asap.
Tired and hungry herself, Krista thinks through some options. She is really trying to eat plant-based, but the dedicated plant-based options she knows about are too expensive and time-consuming.
She needs a fast food option, but all she can think of are hamburgers and fried chicken. She knows there are more plant-based options available but she doesn't know where.
Krista opens her Vegan eats app conveniently downloaded on her mobile phone to try to find a plant-based option near her current location.
She opens the app and sees that she can search by location, type of food, or a particular fast-food chain name.
Since convenience and speed are important here (kids are whining in the back about how they are starving), she selects by location.
She elects to search from her current location and designates a 3-mile radius. She finds there are 5 fast-food restaurants within 3 miles.
She knows the kids like Taco Bell and it is also the closest. This is great! Now to see what her options are...
She selects Taco Bell. She can filter by type of restriction and see all menu items that fit within that restriction. If she doesn't see anything she likes, she can go back to the list and select another restaurant.
She is happy to see there are plenty of yummy vegetarian options at Taco Bell. She knows what her kids want and it is just a few short minutes away. She selects to navigate there. This only took a few minutes from within the comfort of her car.
A few minutes later, Krista is at Taco Bell. She orders her plant-based item and burritos fo the kids. This was fast for hungry kids, convenient after all the running errands, and Krista feels good she was able to eat plant-based. She feels like super mom.
These kids are melting down... and probably hungry. We need to stopfor food realquick.
We're hungry!!!
I know, we're going to get food now. Thank you for being so patientduring all those errands
Phew, finally in the car. Now where to eat...
It'll have to be fast food drive thru. There is no way I'm dragging these kids out of the car again.
We're not far from Vegan Planet, but these kids are restless. Plus it'll be too expensive for all of us and the kids probable won't eat anything.
But where?! I am trying to eat more plant-based and most fast-food menus are meat heavy... It's so hard to find plant-based options at typical fast-food restaurants.
Let me check the Vegan Eats app to see what fast food places are around here

Wow, looks like there are lots of options at Taco Bell. It's close, fast, and I know exactly what to order when I get there.
Hi, yes, can I have the 7-Layer Burrito and two bean burritos for the kids. Thanks!
