- It is England, 1868. The University of London has become the first in the UK to accept women in higher education. Louise is one of the nine women to have secured a place.
- Wow, how grand! I can't wait to meet all the brilliant intellectuals here!
- Pray tell, sir, what is the purpose of such an expensive education if your mind remains as evolved as a common country pheasant's?
- Is that a woman? Gosh, they'll just let anyone in now! This university has gone to the dogs!
