  • Chapter 2: Guests arrive to the house on Soldier Island. Greeted by the butlers

  • Mr.Rogers: Mr. Owen has been delayed but make yourselves at home
  • "Vera cried: But this is fantastic-mad"
  • Chapter 6: Dr.Armstrong wakes up from a nightmare of being responsible for the murder of the guests. Rogers wakes him up and finds Mrs. Rogers dead in her sleep.
  • Chapter 3: A reasonably pleasant dinner gets interrupted by "The Voice" that accuses each of the ten guests of murder.

  • Chapter 5: Mr. Rogers notices there are 9 little figures on the table now.
  • Vera: "She thought to herself: It's horrible-just like us this evening"
  • Chapter 5: Vera passes the mantelpiece and reads the first line of the ten little boys poem and notices the similarity between Marston's death.
  • "Rogers stood puzzled. He was staring at the china figures in the centre of the table. He muttered to himself: That's a rum go! I could have sworn there were ten of them"
  • The doctor said sharply: Did she take things to make her sleep?
  • Rogers said: She didn't have nothing last night, sir, except what you gave her."
