There was once a young boy named Alex, He lived in a relatively nice house and was never exposed to many other political opinions other than his parents. One day he turned on his TV and the news came on. It was broadcasting an ad for one of the candidates running to become the new mayor.
Alex agreed with a couple of the points that the mayor made, so he went downstairs to go tell his parents to vote for him. Alex thought that his parents would be proud of him for being more involved in politics, as his dad was a lawyer.
My Friends will love hearing about the new candidate!
Once he got downstairs, Alex told his parents about the candidate. He was so happy that he could be helping his dad choose who to vote for.
He's a great guy!
Alex quickly learned that this candidate was running against the one his parents were voting for after they had laughed at everything that he had said. This made Alex feel like his opinion did not matter and that his parents did not care about what he said.
Alex went back to his room sad and confused on why his parents disregarded his view on politics. Instead of just crying about it, Alex decided that the next day at school, he would tell his friends about the new candidate, as he felt that this was his way of being heard.
Alex was so happy that he was finally informing people and sharing his opinions. His friends were impressed and Alex felt like had an effect on who they would tell their parents to vote for. The End!
