- TIME SAFARI, INC.SAFARIS TO ANY YEAR IN THE PAST.YOU NAME THE ANIMAL.WE TAKE YOU THERE.YOU SHOOT IT.
- I'm ready to kill a dinosaur!
- Inciting Incident
- We have reached
- Rising Action
- I can't do this!
- Roar!
- Then go back to the time machine!
- Eckels arrives at Time Safari Inc. He pays for this company to take him back in time to help him hunt a dinosaur. There is no promise that he or the other men will make it back alive, but it's a risk Eckels is willing to take. Travis, Eckels, and a few other men hop into the time machine and go back in time.
- Climax
- We got it! Did you just step off the path?!
- Oops... I stepped off of the path...
- The time machine takes them back to a time before humans when dinosaurs were still alive. As the hunters travel, Travis explains specific rules. He warns them not to stray from the path. Humanity could be negatively affected if even the tiniest animal or plant is killed.
- Falling Action
- TYME SEFARI, INC.SEFARIS TU ANY YEER EN THE PAST.YU NAIM THE ANIMALL.WEE TAEK YU THAIR.YU SHOOT IT.
- WHAT DID YOU DO?!
- As they are walking through the forest they hear a sound of thunder. It's the dinosaur: a T-Rex! Eckels realizes that he is out of his element. He doesn't think that his gun will be able to kill the dinosaur, and he freaks out.Travis tells him to return to the time machine, but as he goes to return, he steps off of the path!
- Resolution
- NO NO PLEASE NO!!
- Travis and the others are able to kill the dinosaur. However Eckels was dazed and wandered off the path
- They return to the modern day world (2055) and even though everything looked the same, they could all sense that things were different. Writing had been changed, and the president who had been elected was no longer president. Something was wrong!
- NOTHING! I SWEAR!
- Eckels looks down at his muddy shoes, and notices that he killed a butterfly. Travis sees the butterfly on Eckels' shoe and is enraged. Eckels begs for forgiveness, but Travis won't hear it. The story ends with a sound of thunder, but this time it's a gunshot.
